Using the recommended dependencies for your projects
Codigo's android team has done the hardwork collecting, filtering, testing, and of course, documenting to provide a curated list of recommended dependencies and artifacts that fit the latest developement standards and policies. You are required, by right, to follow the recommended versions of dependencies (even to the specified patch version) when working on your projects.
Workflow setup
Every project, enforced to use the recommended dependencies, must follow the workflow specified below.
- Setup dependency version checker script in our build pipelines. (We'll supply this in tool in the form of a script so that it fits anywhere in your build pipelines).
- Regularly check the latest dependency list version and upgrade your artifacts, every two weeks.
- Report any issues encountered while using the recommended dependencies (so your fellow devs can deal with the issue precautiously).
